Welcome to the Llangollen Garden Railway Festival
The Llangollen Garden Railway Festival is one of the UK’s newest garden railway events. Since launching in 2022, the festival has grown each year, welcoming more than a thousand visitors and raising thousands of pounds for charity.
Held at the Llangollen Royal International Pavilion, the festival brings together large-scale layouts, traders, societies and garden railway specialists from across the UK. It is a great day out for families, children, hobbyists and enthusiasts alike.
With more than 40 stalls and a wide range of model layouts, you can explore railways from different periods and countries, with live steam, gas-fired and electric operation. There are hands-on activities for children, including Playmobil trains and wagon-building, as well as demonstrations of modelling techniques.
The festival is run entirely by volunteers and, since 2022, has donated over £10,000 to local charities and community groups.
